I was in London since tuesday attending the palaeontology meeting. I actually didn't even know how to spell the word, let alone that I know anything about this field of science. But I was an invited speaker so I had to go. Biggish meeting, around 800 people, but many parallel session. And the one I was talking in turned out to be a really small session. 30 people tops. It was a bit of a waste of effort, money and time.

anyhoo...saw london for the first time. Was probably last time as well.

yes. Mouse, sibling vole and guinea pig teeth.

Mind you, there is a bias in the palaeontology field to avoid mammals all together. There weren't that many talks on teeth either, although it is the hardest substance in the body and fossilizes most easily.

Aren't you one of those amateur palaeontologists?

Do palaeontologists got something against mammals or is it scientists generally?

No, biomedical orientated scientists love to kill and torture mammals.
